Legislative and agency deliberations over sharing $540 million in renewable energy transition funding mandated by California's electric utility restructuring law (A.B. 1890) fostered a new level of coordination and collaboration across all the technologies, including geothermal, wind, solar and biomass. After some fruitless bickering, we realized that we must stand together — that if we continued to fight amongst ourselves, we would all fall together. With that, we successfully agreed to share those transition funds on an equitable basis for the good of all renewable industries in California.
