Thermya is investing in a new fast way to produce "Green" High Carbon Content Charcoal out of "non food biomass", such as agricultural or forestry waste. This "bio" charcoal, free of tars, being thereafter able to be used as a raw material to produce "bio" "standard fuels".rnWith this perspective Thermya has developed "Charspyd": a new thermal process based on the DPE (Scaled Pyrolitic Distillation) principle. The DPE . principle was invented by one of the founders of Thermya in the mid 90's, when developing the Chartherm process, to recycle CCA treated wood. The Charspyd process is then different from all the classical pyrolysis or thermolysis processes.rnThe Charspyd process allows a fast and continuous production of "Green" High Carbon Content Charcoal, making it possible to concentrate the energy of the nonfood biomass on the site of its production, solving in this way the biomass transport costs problem.
