"PROCESS FOR CONVERSION OF BIOMASS MATERIAL IN CHARCOAL OR CARBONIZED VEGETABLE, AND REACTOR FOR PYROLYTIC CONVERSION OF BIOMASS ON VEGETABLE AND GAS". A low energy introduction process is provided for the pyrolytic conversion of biomass to charcoal or charcoal charcoal. The biomass is sealed in a container (14), pressurized with air (1) and heated to ignition by bar heaters (16). Pressure control by introducing air and releasing gases to maintain successively lower pressure levels results in a typical conversion time of less than 30 minutes.
