摘要

The 14th session of the IMO Sub-Committee on Radiocommunications and Search and Rescue was held at the IMO Headquarters in London during the period 8th to 12th March, 2010. It was attended by representatives from 70 Member States and 27 Observer Organizations. The Secretary General and Jean-Charles Leclair were representing the Association.rnThe item of the agenda for the session of most interest to IALA members was related to the development of the concept of e-Navigation. The discussions were based on the interim report produced by the IMO Correspondence Group, established by the NAV Sub-Committee at its 55th session in July 2009, which was mainly drafted with inputs from the IALA e-Navigation Committee. The main outcomes of COMSAR on the matter were its support to the conceptual e-Navigation architecture as developed by the Association, as well as the continuation of the review of existing systems and new communication technologies, together with international regulations and standards relevant to communication requirements, to be addressed to respond to e-Navigation communication needs.
