With iron ore demand still high, export terminal operators are investing heavily to increase capacity. In Australia some operators have come in for some strong criticism over loading delays this summer. Australia has the distinction of being a major exporter of both iron ore and coal and transport infrastructure has come under pressure as coal demand has also been strong. No wonder that the Australian market for stockyard equipment is at a record high as equipment is ordered for various projects, including expansions at RG Tanna, Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT), Hay Point, Port Waratah Coal Services (PWCS) and a new terminal now confirmed for Newcastle.
