Antwerp volumes slide 1.6%

The Port of Antwerp handled 184 Mt of freight in 2012, 1.6% less than in 2011. The figures were slightly better than the provisional results released at the end of December. The port authority said that the revised figure shows that the port is managing to stand up well in the current climate affecting the ship-ping industry and the general economy.
