Fertiliser for Beira

In the latest in a long line of expansion announcements for Mozambican ports, Cornelder has begun work on constructing a new fertiliser terminal at the Port of Beira at a cost of US$35M. According to Cornelder de Mocambique's marketing and sales director, Felix Mach-ado, the new facility will have handling capacity of close to 3 Mtpa. Work on the project had been held up by flooding at the port, but the Dutch firm is confident that the terminal can be safely developed.
