Edmund Nuttall's turnover up

Edmund Nuttall has posted a 4% rise in turnover from ￡572m to ￡594m for the year ended 31 December 2007. The civil engineering group's pre-tax profit dipped slightly from ￡19.6m to ￡19.3m over the same period. Martin Rogers, the chief executive, said Nuttall's 3.2% margin confirmed it as "a leading civil engineering company in the UK market". It is working with Morrison Construction on a ￡200m deal to clean up the 270ha 2012 Olympic park. Its forward order book at the year end stood at ￡640m and it won a further ￡200m of work in the first two months of 2008.
