Surpassing the splendid second edition would have seemed difficult. Nonetheless, this famous author has succeeded. Far from confining himself to his particular speciality of delay and disruption, the learned Mr Pickavance has expanded extensive treatment of most construction law, including especially Sir Michael Latham's emphasis on risk being managed, minimised, shared, transferred or accepted - but not ignored.
