Helio has ambitions to bring to the U.S. the kind of advanced mobile services already widely available in South Korea. With the world's highest mobile-broadband penetration rate — more than 25% (CM, 5 Jun, 2006) -South Korea is a hothouse for the development of mobile music, TV and video services and new offerings based on user-generated content. One million South Koreans have signed up for a free-to-air mobile broadcasting service launched last year, while Cyworld, a phenomenally successful home-page and web community, is said to be used by 90% of Koreans in their 20s.
