Phase One takes on Mamiya

Phase One has become a controlling shareholder in Mamiya, further strenghtening the co-development relationship the pair announced three years ago.The takeover, which both companies label as a partnership, has been designed to accelerate the development of digital medium format camera systems by 'leveraging engineering expertise andefficiencies in product development, marketing and sales,' says Phase One. It means that Phase One will now take over Mamiya's research and development initiatives, as well as both firms' marketing and distribution strategies.
