Genius makes gluten-free deal with Caffe Nero

Gluten-free brand Genius has struck a deal with Caffe Nero to supply fresh gluten-free filled rolls to almost 600 stores in the UK. This includes its shops and its Nero Express kiosks in train stations and airports. Roz Cuschieri, chief executive, Genius, said: "Many of our customers tell us that they struggle to get fresh gluten-free food when they are travelling or away from home, so bringing our innovative products to consumers wherever they are is really important." As well as expansion within the UK foodservice market, Genius has recently acquired Finsbury Foods' gluten-free business in a £21m deal and now sells products in the Netherlands, as well as Spain and North America. Genius products will be launched in other overseas markets later this year.
