The french are very passionate about their bakery products, particularly the baguette - a loaf that has crossed over the borders of many a country in the world. To celebrate Delif rance's 30th anniversary, journalists from across Europe were invited to find out more about the company, as it looks for further export opportunities and ways to grow the business. Long before Delifrance was established, its parent company Grands Moulins de Paris was founded in 1919, but it was not until 1978 that the family-owned milling group launched the first part-baked frozen baguette and, a year later, acquired Societe de Specialites Surgelees (SSS). The Delifrance trademark was later registered in 1983 - the anniversary it is celebrating this year - with international subsidiaries promoting the brand from this time. However, it wasn't until 2003, that SSS was renamed Delifrance in France.
