Young girls looking for career inspiration will soon have a new role model to emulate, after toy manufacturer Mattel announced plans to launch Architect Barbie. The famous doll has a huge CV, having been a doctor, a dentist, a vet and a race car driver, among other careers, and now she takes on the job of architect. According to Mattel, it has worked with two members of the American Institute of Architects to develop the design for Architect Barbie, who comes complete with hard hat and blueprints (in a pink holder). Poor Architect Barbie, her employer really should splash a bit more cash on technology.
