The rather pointless drive to produce the world's strongest beer continues and we are now at 67.5%ABV. Strange, too, that this offering is from the same small Scottish brewer which already holds the record with a beer called Armageddon at 65%. That sold 6000 bottles worldwide at £50 a pop. Now Brewmeister's Snake Venom, again fermented with champagne yeast and freeze concentrated, is available in 275mL bottles - allegedly with the same alcohol as drinking almost two-thirds of a bottle of spirits. Allegedly, as the blogosphere did not think the 65% version drank as strong as it said and the brewery has never published any back up laboratory data.
