摘要

The bonuses of microwave drying over conventional methods include lower heat loss, shorter curing time and better overall bond strength. Various industrial applications have utilized microwave power as a heating-drying alternative, and there are several cases incorporating hybrid-heating technologies in manufacturing process such as paper, rubber and brick. Microwave technology for drying starch has demonstrated advantages over its competitor-the aging steam heated hot plate drying method, which has been plagued with inconstancies, such as efficiency, economics of scale and floor space.
