The first Monaco Yacht Show in two years is due to showcase a more spectacular collection of superyachts than ever. Caroline White presents some of the most exciting boats appearing at Port Hercule this month Combining a tough explorer hull with an elegantly curved sheerline, this classically styled 183ft yacht with diesel-electric propulsion combines brawn and beauty. Its cozy, pared-back interior in gloss-finished teak and boldly patterned fabrics stand out against a soft, neutral background color. Azimut's first foray into true superyacht territory retains the speed that the builder is known for, with a "displacement-to-planing" hull that can reach a respectable 24 knots. There's a major emphasis on chicly furnished exterior spaces, particularly the split-level main deck aft featuring a "sea view terrace" and the full-height beach club.
