The world's finest superyacht designers and builders competed fiercely in Cortina d'Ampezzo in February to design the next generation of British royal yacht - in just one hour. The brief called for a vessel able to host elite gatherings and conduct state visits while also being eco-conscious. The winning team (Steve Gresham, Fiona Diamond, Mike Fisher, Mike Brandy, Jarkko Jaemsen and James Kandutsch) created Project Albion, a sailing yacht incorporating "green features and technology whilst maintaining a sense of grandeur and tradition," Diamond says.
