Schiphol airport to pilot biometric passport for USA

The US secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge has announced that the USA is to begin deploying technology that will speed up security checks and immigration processing of pre-screened, international travellers through John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. Ridge also revealed, during his recent visit to The Netherlands, that an international registered traveller programme will take place between JFK and Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.
