The Experium™ Knowledge Resource System—Brainpower as Competitive Advantage

Knowledge management is essential to a services business where success is dependent on employees'' ability to make more accurate and precise decisions in consultation with customers in less time. Lucent Technologies'' Experium™ Knowledge Resource System is a uniquely designed solution integrating the power of a series of vertically aligned domains. The Experium system has been implemented to improve the speed of bringing valuable solutions to customers, to inspire service innovation, and to enhance organizational efficiency, ultimately increasing profits and giving Lucent Worldwide Services (LWS) strategic advantage in the marketplace. This paper describes the design of the Experium system, outlines survey results regarding internal productivity increases, and provides a case study of how the system has successfully positioned LWS in the market.
