'Combi Dock Ⅲ': A 11,000DWT multi-purpose/heavylift ship

Lloyd Werft has delivered the third of four 11,000DWT multi-purpose vessels, Combi Dock III', to German-Danish joint venture K/S Combi Lift, which was established in 2000 as a joint venture between J. Poulsen Shipping of Bremen, Germany and Harren & Partner of Korsor, Denmark.rnThe first and second vessels in the series were delivered in 2008 while the fourth vessel ('Combi Dock IV) is due for delivery in July.rnFlying the flag of Antigua, the vessel was built to the regulations of Germanischer Lloyd and is classed GL + 100 ASE NAYOC; 1W; BMW- 5; Strengthened For Heavy Cargo, Semi Submersible Vessel; Ro/Ro Ship; Container Fitted, SOLAS 11-2, Reg. 19, MC E AUT.rnThe vessel was adapted by Vuyk Engineering, Grorsingen, Germany from a basic design by H B Hunte, Germany. What distinguishes the vessel's design is its capacity to work either in heavylift mode or as a cargo carrier, fitted and strengthened for vehicles, containers and/or cargoes, while also offering 700-tonne crane lift capacity.
