COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard is the largest shipyard in China's massive COSCO Shipyard Group.rnIts facilities include one of the world's largest floating docks at 300,000DWT capacity, along with a number of smaller docks, nine repair berths and a 10,000 tonne slipway. Whilst predominately a repair and conversion yard, with the ability to service more than 200 large-size ocean vessels annually, the 1,200,000m2 shipyard also has a significant newbuild capability.rnA recent delivery from the yard is the 92,500DWT bulk carrier 'Scandinavian Express', the first in a four-vessel order for Dutch owner Vroon Dry Cargo. Classified by Lloyd's Register, the bulk carrier was designed by the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI) and measures 229.2 metres in overall length, 38 metres in beam and has a depth to main deck of 20.7 metres.
