I used a separate battery to power the receiver and servos and used this battery to balance the model. Since the motor battery is pretty well limited to one spot, I would make it possible to move the receiver battery to compensate for different size batteries. This is a beautiful model that really exudes high quality. The assembly Isn't difficult and not particularly time-consuming. A week of evenings will have it together with most of that time spent waiting for epoxy to cure. The really nice thing about this model is that you have such easy access to everything inside from above and below. Once it's together you'll stand back and say "wow!"
