"Ladies and Gentlemen, may I remind you that the Captain has left the seatbelt signs on. Please return to your seat and make sure that your seatbelt is securely fastened." Paul quickly sat down, putting his feet back on the footrest, just as Claire, the flight's purser, walked past. He casually slung a blanket and the belt over his legs, keeping the package concealed underneath. His fingers fumbled with the paper wrapping, removing a layer of tape and peeling off a protective plastic coating. They closed around a smooth glass bottle. Paul checked to see that no one was around and took a quick look beneath the blanket. The bottle contained a clear liquid and was clearly marked "VX" on the label. Perfect. He slid it into his shirt pocket and sat back, closing his eyes and waiting for the right time. He'd watched the crew very closely and didn't think there was anyone who could put up much of a fight. His heart pounded, the excitement building as he opened his eyes again and checked his watch. It would be some time yet.
