Denver International Airport has managed to get a second flight to London Heathrow Airport — on United — without offering incentives. The new open-skies agreement certainly was a factor in getting the new service, said Sally Covington, the airport's deputy director of marketing and government affairs. "In the past, United said it wanted to serve DIA but didn't have the slots into Heathrow. They now say it makes more economic sense to do it," she said. "They currently serve us to Canada and Mexico, but we didn't have international service. We're excited that they are doing non-stop service out of DIA."
