L-39NG Makes First Flight

The first pre-serial L-39NG has conducted its maiden flight from Aero Vodochody's facilities north of Prague, Czech Republic. The December 22 sortie, which lasted 26 minutes, saw test pilots David Johoda and Vladimir Tovarek climb to an altitude of 5,000ft and undertake handling and systems tests.
