“IT’S YOUR CALL” ARFF TACTICAL EXERCISE

The purpose of this exercise is to give the ARFF professional a training tool to prepare for initial arrival, size-up, andrntactical decision making at a wide variety of possible aviation emergency scenarios. This can be a veryrnchallenging, stressful, and complicated process. This is a skill that comes from extensive response and commandrnexperience and is difficult to develop in an airport environment or through in-house training alone. A different imagernof an actual aviation emergency situation will be presented in this and future editions of Aviation Fire Journal.rnThis exercise can be conducted in an individual or group discussion format.
