"AV is mission critical to everything we do at Bloomberg. We've got to support 19,000 employees working in 192 offices in 73 countries and have the responsibility of servicing 320,000 customers every day. We have 5,000 engineers spread out around the world and that buzzword 'collaboration' is part and parcel of everything that makes us able to deliver a product at the cycles we need to for our end users. We've moved from a reactive model, where we build open collaboration spaces or huddle rooms when required, to analysing what it takes to make our staff and customers more productive in the spaces that they're in during the course of the day. We then build holistic IT-AV solutions around those experiences, understanding that our employee population is nomadic. You must understand how staff use the technology, and that means recording use at every level.
