Higher Education is in the midst of a major transition in the method and practice of teaching, with the interaction between academic staff, students and the learning environment being reinvented. "We're experiencing a shift in approach to pedagogies in our classrooms that requires a technology response," explains Marcus Saunders, head of digital learning resources at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts, "and it's the learning and teaching piece that's driving the shift in technology." The traditional transmissive model of teaching is being replaced by collaborative, active learning in technology-enabled spaces, typically equipped with large displays and the ability to connect and share data.
