Collins & Aikman has large 'hand' in XLR interior

"This is a sweet spot of the market for us," said Jeff Rose, Collins & Aikman's Senior Vice President-Global Product Development and Technology, noting that the company supplied many of the interior components for the Porsche Cayenne as well. Collins & Aikman was responsible for the engineering design of the XLR cockpit, a contract it won in November 1999. Concept design signoff came in the first part of 2000, but Collins & Aikman already had begun to ramp up for the project.
