Alogistical quandary resulted in Volvo turning to techniques that had been much talked about but not been made to work. It was all because the company wanted to know whether it would be possible to produce a variant of its S40 and V40 model at its shared plant with Mitsubishi in Born in the Netherlands. It made them work.
