With gas and food prices soaring, the move towards saving money and saving the environment is gaining strength and home owners are scrambling to cut costs and their carbon footprint. But what about the millions of apartment and condominium residents who are just as concerned with financial savings and being eco-friendly? Up until now there haven't been any suitable methods of giving apartment and condo owners a break in the building industry. Systems have been both too expensive and too invasive; there has been virtually no effective way for building owners to save energy. But a new wireless technology is being introduced into the market that bridges the gap between homes and apartments. This new method of controlling energy in apartments is the Walker EasySTAT system created by physicist Al Walker. The unique HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) system controls as a hard wired system and has been installed in thousands of buildings across Canada including the highly sensitive Winnipeg level 4 Virology Lab for Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Initially manufactured for Honeywell Canada under the Custodian and Custodian Plus product lines the proven Walker EasySTAT line has also been installed in 3,500 buildings around the world in places as far away as Saudi Arabia and China. The commercial EasySTAT system is now available to the Residential market for the first time by the company 'Happy Building.' They have modified the original version so it is affordable and designed specifically for the apartment/condo market. It operates on a wireless system so it avoids costly wiring and the labor costs associated with the conventional wired system.
