Xeikon obtains UL certificate

Digital printer manufacturer Xeikon has worked with adhesive coating and laminating specialist Flexcon to gain UL (Underwriters Laboratories) certification for printing using Flexcon gloss top-coated polyester base films and laminates. The certification enables Xeikon operators to expand their offerings in labels and packaging. Todd Blumsack, vice president of sales and marketing at Xeikon America, says, "The UL certification from Flexcon is yet another important milestone for Xeikon's digital printing solutions for labels and packaging. Our solutions offer an unbeatable combination of safety, quality and productivity for label and packaging converters. Xeikon label and packaging presses, along with the dry toners they use, are the first and only toner-based products to receive this certification in combination with Flexcon materials.
