The murderer of Constable Samuel Long at the Royal Hotel, Auburn during the early hours on Monday morning is still at large. Since news of the crime reached the city the search by police has gone forward without cessation, but at an early hour this morning there was still no indication of success. In fact, the detectives from the outset have had only the most meagre information to work on, and have never been in possession of what may be considered as a strong clue.
