DESPITE MACHINATIONS by the Federal opposition, it looks like Australia will soon have a price on carbon (or a carbon tax, but let's not get caught up in semantics here). The Government has recently been consulting with industry on the introduction, and while a trade exposed industry, it is not a carbon intensive industry, and as such, TCF will almost certainly miss out on any direct assistance in the form of compensation.
