Vocus agrees deal to buy Stuff Fiber

Vocus New Zealand has agreed to buy broadband retailer Stuff Fiber for an undisclosed sum. In a press release, Vocus New Zealand chief executive Mark Callander highlighted the purchase fits with the company's growth strategy and will increase its subscriber base by 10%: This is a really positive move for us, we have always been clear that we want to be the telco provider for one in four Kiwi homes -whether that's through a residential service, or through wholesaling services to another retailer - and this purchase helps bring us closer to that goal.' Stuff Fiber was launched by New Zealand media group Stuff in 2016 and has around 20,000 subscribers. The deal is scheduled for completion on 20 May.
