Poland’s Polenergia agrees preliminary deal to buy solar developer Edison Energia

Poland’s largest privately-owned utility Polenergia has signed apreliminary deal to buy one of the country’s fastest growing solardevelopers, Edison Energia, it said late Nov. 4.In the last two years Edison Energia has installed 120 MW of solarphotovoltaic capacity for both individual and business clients. Thecompany is also an installer of heat pumps.Under the deal, Polenergia has agreed to pay Zloty 76.5 million($19.16 million) for 100% of Edison’s shares, although the final salesprice may rise up to Zloty 86 million, Polenergia said in a market filing.
