In the last several years, wireless temperature-sensing systems for HVAC applications have started to make some inroads with contractors. Whether it's a one-to-one thermostat to VAV product or a many-to-one wireless temperature sensor network, wireless has proven itself a viable alternative to wired systems in many applications. The predominant trend has been an "all-or-nothing" approach to wireless systems. Unfortunately, this forces contractors to choose a system that may not be the best fit for the entire project. Inovonics Wireless Corporation (Booth 2315) offers wireless products that allow the contractor to create a hybrid system composed of the right mix of wired and wireless sensors.
