In his 1963 explication of the Diamond Series (House 8, House 9, and House 10, a+u 75:05), John Hejduk constructs a diagram of the history of architectural space, declaring the paradigmatic space of the present time to be the compression onto a vertical plane of the space generated by the two legs of a right angle.
