Valer Church

Similar to the competition proposal for a DNT lodge (pp. 60-61), this competition also called for innovative use of wood. The small village Valer in the eastern part of Norway lies in a woodland area with the largest forestry production in the country. An old and dear church had burnt down a few years earlier, and the foundations of the old building remained as a distinct element in the church yard.
