Geographies of the Lockdown

This series of maps illustrates the inequality of living conditions in Barcelona during the strict lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In a city that provides public infrastructures that act as an extension of the home, during lockdown peoples' apartments became their only living space. The description of the housing stock - based on public but also some private data -is a first step in reflecting on the role of housing in the pursuit of spatial justice and social integration through urbanism.
