Flexi-Frame House - is a compact living environment inspired by traditional rural Japanese domestic architectural planning. It comprises two pavilions: one for living and entertaining, and a more private zone for sleeping and storage. Conceived as a radically flexible and energy-efficient system, it claims very little space, uses minimal construction materials and offers multiple spatial configurations. All external walls are sliding panels, which can be packed away in the storage pavilion. The skin can be opened up to the landscape or closed down, providing protection from adverse weather.
