摘要

This is a wonderful, insightful and inspirational book about design that makes one wonder, where is the science? Christopher Day is a very accomplished architect with many innovative child-sensitive bindings across Europe and in the USA. He is also an author who has written a number of other important books on architecture, spirit and place. This is a beautiful book, which makes for easy reading, but also for reflection and questioning. Day begins in his Preface with a statement that few would deny, but he states it evocatively: "Environment affects how we think, feel and behave. It shapes our habits, expectations of normality and values. Affecting us physically and psychologically, it can support and nourish physical, mental and social development.
