豊岡市庁舎

摘要

豊岡市庁舎の建設は，市庁舎がほぼ中心に位置している豊岡のメインス トリートである『大開通りを中心とした市街地活性化』という豊岡市の計 画の主たる事業である。その実現に向け.大開通りにある『北但大震災の 復興建築群の保存•再生•活用』をひとつのコンセプトとしている。%The new City Hall is the main project for "Project for Urban Revitalization of Daikai Dori and vicinity" which occupies a central location in Toyooka. The underlying concept develops on "Preservation, Renovation and Reuse of Reconstructed Buildings of Great Hokutan Earthquake Disaster" which forms the core of Daikai Dori. It was decided to build the new city hall on the site facing Daikai Dori, incorporating the existing Main Hall (completed 1927) the symbol of recovery from the Earthquake, a well-loved landmark for over 80 years. The preservation, renovation and reuse of the symbolic Main Hall formed the main concept and the new complex was to complement its preservation and renovation, providing aleading example along Daikai Dori for the renovation of the other reconstruction buildings and revitalization of the town center. It was also designed to expand public services and flexibly respond to future needs, be resilient against disasters, learning from the bitter experiences of Hokutan Earthquake and Typhoon No.23 of 2004, and become a leader in environmentally friendly facilities.
