Architecture of Disbelief Is Architectural Speciation a Good Thing?

I was lucky enough recently to be invited to be the keynote speaker for a conference at Cornell University. The event was called 'The Architecture of Disbelief and was ably curated and convened by Mark Morris and Jim Williamson. Participants included Lebbeus Woods, up-and-coming MIT researcher and designer Neri Oxman, archetypal New Yorker Evan Douglis, British artists with architectural preoccupations Langlands and Bell, Dagmar Richter, cyber-monk Karl Chu and the agent provocateur and rascal, Jeff Kipnis.
