A THREATENED COASTLINE

Climate change — in particular sea level rise - is set to become an enormous issue for the future of regional coastal towns throughout Australia. In the Barwon South West region of Victoria, the sustainability (environmental, economic, social and cultural) of a series of coastal townships is intrinsically linked to rising sea levels, which will threaten foreshores and the tourism supply line of the Great Ocean Road that passes through and joins these places together.
