Drying Vegetables in Solar Driers

摘要

The kinetics of air-solar drying of onions has been studied and compared with water evaporation in the sun. The results of investigation indicate that the solar drying rates can amount to 1.2-1.4 kg/m~2h at noon (±2 h). To raise the output of solar radiation driers, their walls should be thermoinsulated and heated air should be fed to the unit.
