In Memorium: Gideon Rodan M.D., Ph.D.: Contributions to Bone Biology and Global Health

Gideon Rodan died peacefully at home in Philadelphia a little more than 6 months after this Conference, at which he participated fully, chaired a session, and asked the penetrating questions he was known for over the years. His passing marks the loss of one, who as a scientist, teacher, and leader, did much to transform research into the physiology of bone by applying modern methods of biochemistry, and molecular and cell biology.
