Analysis of allergens for dermatitis in textile products and its application to the determination of the cause of allergic contact dermatitis by spectrophotometry and GC/MS

Many patients suffer from allergic contact dermatitis due to textile products. For the safety of textile products, a systematic analysis using spectrophotometry and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) for substances which have previously caused dermatitis was proposed. The textile products were extracted with water to de- tect formaldehyde by an acetylacetone method.
