Students, Postdocs, Faculty, and Small Businesses

My previous articles have dealt primarily with opportunities for (academic) research and researchers in statistics. This month, I want to discuss other opportunities, including some for students, some for researchers working for small businesses, and some for academic researchers who have or want to develop links to business and industry. Because many of these opportunities are for students, they are something of which the broader academic community should be aware. Students planning to pursue graduate studies and careers in statistics should be encouraged to apply for the grants and fellowships for which they are eligible.
